We all know racism is alive and well, but did you think it was rearing its ugly head on the set of The Young and the Restless. Former soap star actress Victoria Rowell is suing CBS because she believes that they have not allowed her to come back on The Young and the Restless because she speaks out about the treatment of black actors in the Soap Opera industry. Rowell who is now 55 years old has been trying to get back onto the soap opera scene for 5 years, with no success. Rowell believes that she is being blackballed for having a voice. She believes that her advocacy to promote diversity on the screen has caused CBS to silence her character.

CBS released a statement…….

“We harbor no ill will toward Ms. Rowell, but we will vigorously defend this case.”

May the best act win.

So the 57th annual Grammy’s happened and it was kinda dry until………

Rhianna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney rocked the house…………

Annie Lenox and Hozier took us to church…….. (sorry Beyonce I don’t know what that was that you were doing)

Kristen Wig brings Chandelier to life…………

Domestic Violence was addressed and I hope the world was listening……….

Then Kanye almost did it again………..

If those things didn’t happen the Grammy would have been a total bust.

Usher’s performance was lackluster. Sam’s performance was dry although he was a major winner last night. Then Beyonce performed and Jesus was wondering why she didn’t use her talent last night. See my grandma said that god don’t like ugly The stunt Beyonce pulled to get on that stage was just Ugly. See there was major drama surrounding Beyonce’s performance. Last year Beyonce was on the Grammmy’s gyrating in her husband Jay-Z. This year she decides to sing a gospel song that was supposed to be sung by someone else. Apparently Beyonce asked to sing the song and John Legend felt like he had to give Beyonce the spot because she is Queen Bey.

Ledisi was supposed to sing Precious Lord, Take My Hand. Ledisi played Mahilia Jackson in the movie Selma and sung that  song , many feel that Beyonce stole Ledisi’s moment. Ledisi  admitted to being a little disappointed about not being able to perform the gospel song, but she is all about empowering women. If Ledisi want to keep it professional and not go off about this I can respect it, but I don’t have to. I believe Beyonce was wrong to ask to sing that song, knowing it was going to Ledisi. Those who are familiar with Ledisi know that she can sing circles around Miss Yonce. I really don’t see what was Beyonce’s motive but to be mean and spiteful. Damn Bitch at least sing the hell out the song if you are going to steal it from someone. #SHADE

It looks like Rosie O’Donnell has decided to take a little time to enjoy the view on the unemployment line. The View co-host has decided to the leave the ABC daytime talk show. Rosie’s representatives have reported that the comedian is leaving the show to focus on her family. Unfortunately Rosie and her wife are have split up.

There have been many rumors that Rosie and Whoopi were not getting along. Then there were reports that the other Rosie was leaving the show, and after a one month hiatus Rosie Perez returned to the show. Looks like this show is playing musical chairs. This is Rosie O’Donnell’s second time leaving the show.

I hope Rosie finds happiness. I also hope the folks at The View get it together because their rating have been dropping and that damn show The Talk has reached the number one spot since The View has been going through changes.

Mr. Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Sean P. Diddy Combs has decided to manage his son Quincy’s career. While playing as Quincys manager he has already made some changes in the creation of the Quincy brand. Diddy has banned his son from appearing on FOX‘s new TV drama Empire. This show is a hit, so why is Diddy so against his son appearing the show. Quincy was guaranteed a role on the show, but Diddy is not feeling FOX’s business policies. FOX wants a portion of Quincy’s music rights. “There is no way I am letting my son sign over his intellectual property” says Diddy.

I guess Diddy know best.

The director of Empire Lee Daniels is not worried about Quincy not joining the show, although he was very excited to have him appear. Lee just signed Patti Labelle to star on the show.

Word on the street is that the Queen of ABC Shonda Rhimes just might have another show up her sleeves.  Her obsession with the secret society B613 may turn into a TV show.

During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter Shonda told her interviewer “I have like three versions of a B613 spinoff in my head that I obsess about constantly”

B613 plays a major role in Scandal. Everything clearly revolves around this organization. What will this show be like? Would Papa Pope be the lead actor? If so will he have a love interest that’s just as crazy as he is? How many more lives will B613 take? OMG I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS! THIS CAN’T BE GOOD FOR MY HEALTH.

If this actually happens I don’t think I can take it. I am still recovering from Shonda’s TGIT.

So on the morning of January 17, 2015, I set my DVR to record Lifetime’s Whitney. Ijust had to see it and I planned on watching it, but I wanted to record it just in case my 3 year old son decided to have a temper tantrum during the movie I could watch it later. I took the whole day to get myself together so I could see this Angela Bassett directed movie. I just knew it was going to be good girl. I mean Angela Bassett was running this production. She knows way more about making a movie than Wendy Williams does. So the time came for the movie to come on and I sat with my cup of coffee and I watched and watched and damn it I watched some more. Then the movie ended and I wanted to see more. It was that good that I didn’t want it to end.

A little part of me felt super bad that I thought the movie was great, because this was Whitney Houston’s life. I was sitting their enjoying the re-enactments of Whitney and Bobby‘s life. The Whitney movie was filled with love, betrayal, sex, drugs and rock and roll and I loved it. What the hell is wrong with me? Angela Bassett had lots of pressure on her to deliver a great product for many reasons. Some of them being that Lifetime needed a great biopic since Wendy Williams screwed up the Aaliyah movie, also this is Angela’s directorial debut (the Yale graduate would have not been forgiven if she messed this one up), then their the Houston family who did not approve of this production. Angela called Whitney her friend and I believe all that I saw in this movie, because these are things that happened that only a friend would tell another friend.

I enjoyed this movie. The only changes that I would have made would be the title of the movie. I would have called it Whitney and Bobby: A Love Story.

Did you like the movie?
