The View has had it’s up and downs. Many women have sat around the hot topics table, but only one has stayed. Whoopi Goldberg aka Mama View will be back for Season 19 of The View. Whoopi will be joined by veteran host Joy Behar ( girl we missed you), America‘s own Danny Tanner aka Candace Cameron, funny lady Michelle, GMA‘s Paula Faris (don’t know much about her, but welcome) and the very outspoken Raven Symone. Well damn that’s an awesome line-up. Im pretty sure there will be lots of drama on the set this year. Candace has already gotten into with Raven over gay marriage. I hope Joy and Whoopi can keep these gals in line. September 8, 2015 the new seasons begins. I can’t wait.
The fresh prince himself Will Smith, seems to love the sitcom that made him a star so much, he wants to bring it back to television. Will Smith plans to produce a reboot version of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Will and his lovely wife Jada will executive producer the project. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air aired on NBC for 5 seasons. NBC execs have stated that they have not been asked to be apart of the project, but they would love to speak with Will about it.
I am really not a fan of reboots. Will and Jada have worked together before on a sitcom. I look forward to seeing what they come up with.
Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Well yes, you can find Sesame Street on the HBO channel. The public television production has joined forces with the major cable network, for a 5 year deal. HBO will air the next five season of Sesame Street, but instead of an hour long program it will be condensed down to 30 minutes. Many parents are not feeling the new business deal, because it now means they will have to pay to see the show. Well they are kind of right? The she will still air on PBS but from now until the Fall they will all be old episodes. Nine months after the new episodes air on HBO they will then air on the Public access stations. This is great fro Sesame street because they show was having trouble with funding. PBS only provides 10% of the budget for Sesame Street, the rest of the funding comes from merchandising. Hey you have to find a way to pay the bills and this deal will definitely pay the bills.

RHOA newly weds Todd and Kandi Burruss are expecting their first child together. If you watch the RHOA many would have assumed that this couple would never see this day. As Todd began to produce new tv shows for other networks, this took time from his relationship. Kandi fans were starting to get worried, but in reality TV fashion every situation is overly exaggerated and we fools who sit in front of the TV screen believe everything we see. This couple has been through some rough times, but these two are doing just fine. Congrats!
Ice T and Coco are also expecting their first child together. Ice and Coco also have a new talk show on FOX. There is no better way to announce your pregnancy and the gender of your baby than on national television. Check out the clip below.
Whenever I hear the name Jay-Z and Will Smith I assume news about a music collaboration will follow. When in usual fashion the superstars have way more up their sleeves. Jay and Will have come together to produce a HBO mini-series about the life of Emmett Till.
Till was brutally murdered in 1955 by racist savages, just because he allegedly whistles at a white woman. Till was only 14 years old. The death of Till still sparks outrage. The historical moment in time has never been told as a mini series. I am glad it is being produced by two highly respected African American celebrities. It looks like HBO is creating a new lane for African American content, first Bessie now the Emmett Till story.
Thank you HBO.
IT’S TIME: Longtime E! news anchor Giuliana Rancic has decided to step away from her post, to pursue other ventures. The entertainment journalist has had a very tough year after facing tons of criticsm for her comment about Zendaya‘s hair, to the loss of her child via surrogate. Rancic reports the drama in celebrities lives, but it seems the tables have somewhat turned. Various E! have tweeted about Rancic’s weight, questioning why she is so skinny. Then many wondered if she was going to get the boot once Maria Menounos joined the network. Well Giuliana has decided now is the time to move one from the weekly E! News programs. She will remain co-host of Fashion Police and the E! Red Carpet specials. Guiliana will also work on her wine and clothing lines, and she will be executive producing a show for the Oxygen titled Rich in Faith.
FINALLY: The Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger has decided to leave the longtime Bravo show Millionaire Matchmaker. Eight seasons was enough for this lady and she is now moving on to new opportunities on a new network. Bravo wishes Patti well in all of her future endeavors. I’m pretty sure the crew was happy to see Patti go, rumor has it she is not so nice to work with.
DAMN IT: So now that the daytime talk show The View is doing good in ratings, the producers have decided to shake it up even more. A producer is often seen as a villian, but they know when to get rid of the dead weight and when to bring in the fresh meat. Whoopi Goldberg announced that Raven Simone was joining The View full time. There are not that many seats around the table, so if you are not doing your part they will kick you too the curb to make room for someone else. #itsbusinesspeopleneverpersonal The producers did not believe that Nicole and Rosie voiced their opinion enough during hot topics. As we know Hot Topics is the meat and potatoes of the show, if they lose viewers during that first segment they are gone for good. Im so sad to see Rosie Perez go, but Nicole BYE GIRL.
